The city is seeking residents interested in serving on the Gig Harbor Historic Preservation Commission.
The Historic Preservation Commission (HPC) is a five-person body that primarily makes decisions on changes proposed to historic properties listed on the city’s local historic register. The HPC also acts as an advisory body to the city council on matters regarding historic preservation, including listing new properties on the register.
The commission meets quarterly or as needed. Members must be Pierce County residents and live within the greater Gig Harbor area. The position is voluntary and is not subject to compensation by the city. Visit our website to learn more about the commission.
Persons interested in serving on the Historic Preservation Commission should submit a completed application by Sunday, August 31, 2025.
