Lumen Technologies provides internet, phone, and network services in Gig Harbor. For residential customers, internet and home phone service is primarily handled under the CenturyLink brand. The company will be relocating utilities infrastructure as part of the city’s 38th Avenue Phase 2 half-width roadway improvements project.
Work begins Wednesday, Sept. 3, and will continue through December 2025. The relocations are required under Lumen’s franchise agreement with the city, as the existing utilities conflict with the proposed sidewalk and storm system improvements planned along 38th Ave.
What to Expect:
- One-lane traffic control during working hours, Monday through Friday.
- Watch for work crews and follow flagger directions.
