Phase 1B - which includes pickleball courts, bocce courts, a playground, restroom building, and other park amenities - is out to bid. This project is located just north of the YMCA. Bids close on March 21, and construction is expected to begin sometime in mid to late spring.
The Phase 2 & 3 Feasibility study is in final draft form and is going to be considered at the next regular city council meeting on March 11, 2024 at 5:30 p.m. If you would like to comment on the feasibility study, you may come to the meeting on March 11 at the Gig Harbor Civic Center or email the mayor and city councilmembers at mayorandcouncil@gigharborwa.gov.
The preferred field layout is below. Council will be considering a resolution adopting the study with the preferred field configurations. Adopting the study does not obligate the city to fund or build those phases in a certain timeline. The preferred alternative is below. The study can be viewed online at the Sports Complex webpage.
