Emily Stone

Mayor and City Council
Title: Councilmember, Position 3

It's an honor serving on our city council and I’m excited to continue improving our amazing community. My dad moved to Gig Harbor when he was 12 and my grandparents retired here to spend their days walking along Soundview to the waterfront. I’m incredibly grateful to call this place home. It is my wish that Gig Harbor remains a welcoming, safe, and livable city for all.

I’ve spent a decade serving vulnerable communities—survivors of domestic violence, people experiencing homelessness, and those facing behavioral health challenges. Professionally, I support public policy efforts around community services, local government infrastructure, public safety, economic development, and housing.

In Gig Harbor, I focus on responsible growth, public safety, and affordable housing. I support balancing growth with community character and thoughtful zoning regulations that meet the needs of residents.

I want to keep Gig Harbor affordable so seniors, families, and young professionals can afford to live in the community we all love.

My goal is to be a collaborative partner with the community. Gig Harbor is my home, it’s my family’s home, and it’s your family’s home. You’re welcome to reach out to me anytime at estone@gigharborwa.gov with your thoughts and questions - I’d love to connect!
