    GHP FISH is led entirely by volunteers. Volunteers are needed to: help clients with much needed food; restock and maintain the food bank; pick up food at participating businesses and deliver to food bank; join the financial aid team; plan or participate in community events on behalf of GHP FISH; provide your expertise to clients and volunteers; participate in food or fund collection drives in the community.

  17. Cottesmore of Life Care: Volunteer opportunity to support our activity programming with our seniors

    We are looking for volunteers to support our activity programming with our seniors. This may include sharing a skill (teaching them about a new topic, playing the piano for them, etc.) or providing social interaction and quality time (visiting them in their rooms and talking or doing an activity).   18. Peninsula Emergency Preparedness Coalition

    We are looking for dedicated volunteers, whether your time is limited or flexible. Opportunities include: 1) Organizational Support - Help run our organization as an Executive Board member (e.g., treasurer, secretary, materials coordinator, social media), assist with event planning, or coordinate activities like fairs and speaker presentations. 2) Community Support Teams - Join specialized teams supporting the community during emergencies. Members must hold a Pierce County Emergency Workers Card (PCEWC), obtained through PEP-C, which includes a background check. Cardholders can be called to serve countywide missions and are protected under county insurance during activation. Teams meet 1–2 times per year and mobilize after major events, including groups like the 4x4 team, Wellness Team, Interpreters, Marine Flotilla, and Animal Support.   19. Gig Harbor Women’s Co-op

    Gig Harbor Women’s Co-op is a community service non-profit. Our Mission is to empower and unite communities of women through the exchange of skills, services, and time. Our co-op is 100% supported and managed by volunteers. There are many opportunities to serve on leadership, hosting events, or participating various community service initiatives. We also offer free membership into our community Time Bank. This is a system where individuals earn "time credits" by contributing their time and skills to help others in their community.
